Art in a box – A friend asked me how big my tarot cards are, thinking they were big prints. No! This is 78 pieces of art in a box. A way of bringing 7 years worth of ideas around horses, dandelion clocks and the environment into one place. A way for imagery and ideas to tell a visual narrative, known in tarot languages as ‘The Fools Journey’ aka the way of the challenges we meet as humans on planet earth. The wish is that the images stimulate creativity, questions, inspiration and hope for your life.
This is a visual healing tool, a questioners kit, a seekers source.
The questions we ask the tarot reveal as much as the answers provoked in our mind, heart and soul by the visual stimulus.
The tarot is a talking tool, something to help you learn about yourself and your life. It’s not scary or weird. It is imbued with wisdom accessible through symbolism and has a long and interesting historical lineage.
Visual imagery cuts across language barriers instead talking to our essence about our hopes and dreams, our wishes and fears, our humanity. Pictures can provide a less linear more flowing way to understanding ourself and the world than words.
As an artist it has been a complex and interesting challenge to weave the tarot into my art or my art into the tarot! As an Alexander Technique teacher experienced working with musicians, actors and riders, a way to continue to explore non verbal communication, plus a desire to send love, good vibes and best wishes into the world.

I’ve used my drawing ‘If Wishes Were Horses’ on the back of the cards as a reminder to breathe out, let go and set your wishes free as you shuffle the pack. As you work with the deck, let yourself simply absorb the images. That magical, mysterious, wonderful thing called intuition will start to guide you forward and help you to access and activate your higher self. It is a way to find our true power. Our horse power!
