The Angel of the Dandelion Clock
I received this beautiful message about the Angel in the Dandelion Clock –
‘Some (of your paintings) have an incredible ability to remind me to stay present, and continue to observe what is happening inside myself.
Observing the rhythm, feeling the flow, feeling the life. Allowing everything to be. Allowing the is-ness of all things so I can return to the power of my own conscious presence.
It’s such a beautiful way of being.
The external world is a tough one and does everything in its power to grab our attention and pull us out of the presence and into our thinking minds.
I guess for me your art has a magical way of taking my attention away from thinking and directs it back to where being can be felt as an invisible energy. So, thank you for that.’ Trish
These beautiful words help me know that the qualities I aim to bring to the act of painting, learned from horses and years of studying and teaching the Alexander Technique, which is an amazing way of working with presence, flow, feel and conscious awareness, are getting through via paint and canvas.
Kind and beautiful words truly can be gifts out of the blue – manna from heaven. Angels arrive in our life in unexpected ways. This week angels have definitely come in the form of messages from ‘strangers’.
These paintings have been on the go all summer. It’s a good feeling when things finally come together – the layers of paint, the not knowing where you are going, the trial and error.
I guess life really is just timing. Things resolve when they are good and ready!
This week, spirit horses emerged in three canvases, reminding me that we all have the ability to be somebody else’s angel!
‘Beauty is truth, truth beauty, – that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.’ John Keats
