Wild is letting life grow you
Wild is letting go
Wild is a storm bringing hundred mile an hour winds while you paint
Wild is difficult emotions as well as feelings of bliss and ease
Wild is not needing to be in control of life
Wild is being ‘ok’ with unpredictability
Wild is letting love guide you
Wild is ideas seeded in your mind by the great life force
Wild is flow and going with the flow
Wild is allowing the brilliance of imagination
Wild is cyclical
Wild is a blade of grass growing through a crack in the pavement
Wild pushes through no matter what
Wild is a first mark on a canvas
Wild is whispers in the wind to all living things saying ‘grow, grow’

One week to go to our exhibition ‘Wild’ at The Dundas Street Gallery, Edinburgh.
Brenda and I planned this exhibition 18 months ago, and life has thrown all sorts of challenges and obstacles to both of us a long the way. It’s been a bit of a wild ride in more ways than one. But having a focus has been good. Like a seed or feather floating in the wind we are about to come to ground for a week in Edinburgh. I am excited and nervous in equal measures.
But more than anything I know this 18 month journey has been an invitation to grow, to start to move forward in new ways, to be open to a new beginning.
Yesterday, I photographed this tree. I thought it looked like the Hierophant, the great teacher, from ‘If Wishes Were Horses Tarot’. Older than all of us. Wise beyond measure. Broken but still standing…
I look forward to seeing you in Edinburgh if you are planning to come. Brenda and I will be there for the whole exhibition.
Love Kirsten x
