I’m painting angels. Drawn to art of the past.
Not from any religious motivation, more I like painting wings and feathers.
However, if angels are bringers of good, bringers of hope, avengers of all that is wrong, then bring on the angels!
We need angels!
I’m useless at planing my art. I just tend to start not knowing what I am going to paint, so I am trying to turn that somewhat frustrating tendency into a strength and allow the images to appear in the paint, in the folds and creases of the the rough textures that I am prepping my surfaces with.
Why texture?
Texture is real.
Texture is kind of anti Ai, which relies on predicability.
I will rely on unpredictability over the next year to allow texture to be the bringer of skill, the creator of image and hopefully the vehicle for messages of hope and love.
